It’s chaotic, it’s colourful and it’s back with some brand new features.
Wessex Cancer Trust’s Rainbow Run-Bubble Fun 2023 returns to the Isle of Wight County Showground in Northwood on Sunday June 25.
Now in its fifth year, the 3km family fun run is getting a shake-up with a brand new video game theme.
Giant inflatables, powder paint and foam blasters will be joined by video game-themed obstacles, so you can take on the run as your favourite gaming character.
This year will also see a new entertainment village, featuring live music. Keep an eye on the Wessex Cancer Trust website and social media for more announcements.
Laura Haytack, Wessex Cancer Trust’s Regional Fundraiser for the Isle of Wight, said:
“It’s the perfect summer event for everyone; whether you want to compete against friends or colleagues, or fancy a fun-filled afternoon with the family helping each other through the obstacles.
"However you take on Rainbow Run, you’ll leave with a huge smile on your face!
“Since it started, Rainbow Run has raised more than £100,000 for Island families living with cancer.
"We’ve experienced an increasing demand for our services and your support means we can continue to be here for Islanders when they need us most.”
There are timeslots at 11am, 11.45am, 2pm and 2.45pm.
There’s a minimum fundraising goal of £50 per person and you can set up a JustGiving page to take part.
Under 16s must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Further information and details on how to sign up can be found online.
This year’s Rainbow Run is sponsored by Wightfibre.
