Islanders are being invited to remember lost loved ones at Mountbatten's Light up a Life service this Christmas.
The annual event is open to the whole Island community and offers residents time and space to remember someone special.
There is also the opportunity, for a small donation, to dedicate a light in memory of a loved one on Mountbatten’s online Remembrance Tree.
Nigel Hartley, Mountbatten CEO, said:
“Every year, our community comes together for Light up a Life, to celebrate the lives of those we love who have died.
“It is always a very poignant service and a really special opportunity to share our memories together.”
For all dedications received by November 26, the names of loved ones will appear on screen during the service at the hospice's Newport home.
The service will feature the Mountbatten Choir and Medina Marching Band, plus solo singers and members of the Mountbatten team giving readings.
The lights on the Remembrance Tree at Mountbatten will also be switched on during the service, which will start at 4pm.
Mountbatten’s bereavement volunteers and staff will be present during the evening to offer support.
Anyone who donates via Mountbatten’s website or the downloadable form will receive a special pack containing a candle to light.
