A spokesperson for Robin Hill has explained the issues that affected last night's (Thursday) Halloween event at the country park.
Traffic issues saw vehicles gridlocked around the site and surrounding areas for a lengthy period of time, causing consternation among drivers going to the event and those trying to travel beyond its perimeter.
Events company 'After Dark' hosted the Halloween event, with more than 3,000 guests in attendance.
This was an external event and Robin Hill was not involved with ticket sales or with the organisation and management of the evening.
Having been made aware of the severe traffic problems surrounding this event, the Robin Hill Partnership has now extended its sincere apologies to all visitors who experienced long delays in getting into the park and to those whose journeys home were affected by the additional traffic.
Robin Hill CEO, Lee Priddle, said:
"We will be fully involved in the decision making, organisation and management of all future events at Robin Hill.
"Effective traffic management is obviously a crucial part of that planning.
"We are thrilled to have lots of exciting attractions for 2025 and so many plans in progress, which we can't wait to share with everyone next year.
"Robin Hill has employed (from today) the previous Operations Manager and will be taking the lead on all future events at the location.
"We would also like to think After Dark Events LTD for putting on a very good show - plenty of happy families stayed right to the end."
We have approached After Dark for a comment on the matter.
