Rupert the donkey is safely back home on the Isle of Wight, having made a 'strong recovery' from colic.
The donkey travelled courtesy of Wightlink last night (Monday).
It is in stark contrast to a week ago when the sanctuary issued a desperate plea to find him travel.
After eventually securing a free ferry trip, he was urgently rushed to the Liphook Equine Hospital for treatment.
Since then he has 'solid' food and his digestive system has worked perfectly.
As he made the journey home yesterday, staff from Wightlink popped down to say hello...
We told you earlier he’s set for a homecoming and here he is on the ferry! 😁
