Sixth formers from Ryde Academy are today celebrating some fantastic results at the end of year 13.
Students will soon be heading off to some of top universities including Warwick and Exeter, as well as apprenticeships with employers such as GKN Aerospace and BAE (A British multinational aerospace, defence and information security company.)
Today’s results are particularly impressive given this is only the second year that grading has returned to pre-pandemic standards.
To help ensure all students were as prepared as possible for their exams, Ryde Academy has offered supported revision, holiday classes, extended study hours, and a range of online learning opportunities.
Standout results include:
● Rebecca Aspden - A* Sociology, A Biology, A History A* EPQ, and is going to the University of Warwick to study History.
● Benson Hardy - A* RE, A English Literature, A History, B in AS Classics, and is going on to study History at the University of Exeter
● Joseph Wilson-Chalon - Distinction* Distinction* in Health and Social Care and A in Psychology A-Level. Joseph is going to study Paramedic Science at the University of Surrey.
● Pipit Johnson - A English, B RE, B History, A* EPQ, and has a place to study History of Art at the Courtauld Institute of Art.
● Carla Harrison - A Math, A in Art, and C in Physics, and has an offer to study Actuarial Science at York University
● Sherard Ezekiel Venegas - A Maths, B Physics, B Computer Science. He is going to study Software Engineering at the University of Edinburgh.
● Amelia McCarthy - Distinction* in Health and Social Care, A English Lit, and B Psychology. She is going to study Primary Education at the University of Winchester.
