Poundland is set to relocate in Ryde - with the new store hailed as larger and with a wider range of products than the previous site - also on the High Street.
The former M&Co site will offer a Pep clothing range nine times more stock than previously, as well as including a new frozen food section.
The new 7,720 square ft store is officially opening its doors at 160/161 High Street this Saturday (16 September).
It will see a transformation of the former unit which has been closed for the past eight weeks.
The bigger new store will employ a team of 20 staff. This includes five additional part-time and one additional full-time colleague who will join the team.
Poundland director of retail, Darren Kay, said:
“We are excited to be opening our new bigger and better Poundland store in Ryde which will offer our customers a much greater range of Pep clothing as well as a range of frozen food for the first time.
“We’re working hard to make sure Ryde will be a cracking example of the breadth of what we can offer in a popular location.
“And, just like all our stores, it will offer amazing value to customers looking to make their money go further.”
Over the last five years, Poundland has undertaken a range revolution in its stores, adding whole new categories such as clothing, homewares and chilled and frozen food.
