Ryde Rescue is warning beachgoers in Ryde to take extra care.
A large void has appeared on the sand, opposite the voluntary lifeboat crew's station.
The area has been plagued with ground problems in recent months, with Southern Water carrying out extensive works to repair a large sinkhole which appeared in January.
Ryde Rescue said:
"If you are walking along Appley Beach, beware that there is now a large hole on the high water mark, now the outfall has appeared."
