Popular fast food chain KFC has identified Ryde as a 'target location' for a new drive-thru.
The Isle of Wight town is seen as an area with potential to open a new restaurant.
A list, published online, shows Ryde as a 'live target' and says its preferred option would be for a drive-thru.
Although no exact location has been earmarked, the chain is looking for suitors to take on a franchise and is urging anyone interested to come forward.
If plans are successful, it would be the second time Ryde has been home to a KFC.
Its former restaurant in Union Street closed in December 2012. Sam's Chicken is now situated in the building.
There is currently a KFC drive-thru in Newport and Lake.
Lake's Merrie Gardens site opened in 2019.
