Ryde Town Council In Crackdown On Dog Fouling

Ryde Town Council is stepping up efforts to combat the growing issue of dog fouling within our community.

A spokesperson for Ryde Town Council said:

"As a Council dedicated to the well-being and cleanliness of our town, we are committed to ensuring that public spaces remain safe and clean for all residents and visitors.

"Recent observations have shown an alarming increase in instances of dog fouling on our streets, parks, and footpaths.

"Working in collaboration with Isle of Wight Council Environment Officers we will be conducting regular patrols to identify and address incidents of dog fouling."

Penalties for Offenders

Offenders may face stringent penalties, including a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice issued on the spot by Enforcement Officers.

In severe cases, fines of up to £1,000 may be imposed upon prosecution.
