A man from Ryde has pushed the limits of his pain threshold to raise money for an Isle of Wight charity.
Christopher Hayton raised £810 for Newport's Mountbatten this year by undertaking feats of endurance.
In May, he agreed to have his chest waxed at Charlotte's Academy in Cowes while dressed as a stripper-gram replete with bow-tie and skimpy red underwear.
In September he completed Walk the Wight as part of his fundraising endeavours, a trek he plans to take on again in 2022, this time dressed as a hippopotamus in a nappy!
Christopher told Isle of Wight Radio:
"I wanted to try something I'd never done before — I decided to brave the pain as fundraising is an important part of my life.
"I also go round telling people jokes to keep their spirits up during the walks."
Kind-hearted Christopher — a volunteer at Friends of the Animals in Ryde — has previously raised money for the IW Air Ambulance, Children in Need and Brading's Donkey Sanctuary.
