A man has been arrested on suspicion of 'wounding with intent' following an incident in Brading.
Officers were called to Lower Furlongs shortly after 9pm last night (Sunday), where a woman had suffered an injury to her hand.
A 28 year old man from Sandown has been arrested.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:
"Last night (21 June) officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Sandown on suspicion of wounding with intent, following an incident in Lower Furlongs in Brading.
"It was reported to police at 9.11pm that a woman had sustained an injury to her hand during an assault at an address.
"The arrested man remains in custody at this time."
