A Sandown man's due in court this morning (Thursday), charged following a number of incidents in the town.
James Anthony Glover, of Fort Street, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police say the 50-year-old's also been charged with criminal damage in connection.
It relates to damage at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club on Tuesday evening (13).
As Isle of Wight Radio previously reported, armed police were called to the town.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding these incidents remain ongoing, say police.

He pleaded not guilty to assault, occasioning actual bodily harm, however.
He has been granted conditional bail, and a trial will be held on the Isle of Wight in June.
