The main road between Shanklin and Lake has reopened after Skew Bridge was removed.
The nine-tonne footbridge has been taken to the mainland for refurbishment.
A special rail-mounted crane was used to lift the bridge from its foundations.
Island Roads teams dismantled the bridge into three sections.
The works led to the closure of Sandown Road and Cemetery Road, which caused significant delays.
It is hoped the bridge will be back in place by June.
