A member of staff at Christ the King College has tested positive for coronavirus.
Two classes of students are now self-isolating at home.
It is the second case to have been confirmed at the school since it reopened after lockdown. As Isle of Wight Radio previously reported, a Year Nine student tested positive last week.
Letters have been sent to parents/guardians today regarding the latest case, according to the school.
A school statement reads:
“For clarification we can confirm that the letter sent home to parents tonight was in relation to an additional positive covid case; from a member of our support staff. To confirm the only classes affected by this and who have been contacted which regards to isolating are 10K/En2B & 10B/Hi1.
“Students not in these classes are unaffected and should attend school as normal.”
