Police have confirmed that two people have sustained serious injuries after a fight broke out in Newport on Christmas Eve.
Multiple police resources attended Newport Bus Station on Sunday evening following reports of an attack underway close to the Southern Vectis Travel Shop.
Officers attended the scene where two men in their 20s were found to have sustained serious injuries - one to their head and the other to their face and ear.
A cordon was erected at the scene with police tape spotted surrounding the area and encapsulating a double decker bus. Officers remained at the scene in to the early hours.
Detectives have confirmed that three people aged between 22 and 23 and from Ventnor, Cowes and Freshwater were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and have since been bailed pending further investigations.
The injured parties have since been discharged.
