On-call firefighters from Shanklin were alerted to a chimney fire on Appleford Road in Chale this morning.
The crew were on scene shortly after 10.30am before the fire was extinguished using buckets of water.
Firefighters continued to dampen down the chimney while using a thermal imaging camera to locate remaining hotspots.
Nobody is reported to have needed medical attention as a result of the fire.
