Police arrested a man in Newport this afternoon (Friday) following reports of assault.
Officers were called to the town's bus station after a man in his 50s became aggressive.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"We were called just before 1pm to a report of a man being aggressive at Newport Bus Station.
"Officers attended and a 51-year-old man from Shanklin was arrested on suspicion of common assault."
The man remains in custody at this time.
