Ryde's Smallbrook Roundabout will partly - and temporarily - be reopening over the Christmas and New Year period.
A spokesperson for Island Roads said:
"Over the holiday period, while all the approaches - with the exception of Smallbrook Lane - will be open to two-way traffic, the junction itself will be controlled by three-way traffic lights. Smallbrook Lane itself will remain one-way (eastbound).
"We are confident that the overall scheme will be completed on time in April.
"Finally, many thanks for your support and patience during these safety works and we would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas."
Six months of works at Smallbrook Roundabout started in October.
Safety measures are being introduced at the notorious junction, which has amassed 22 injury collisions over the last decade.
