Homes on Staplers Road and Long Lane are affected.

A Southern Water spokesperson said:
"We’re sorry to customers in the Staplers area of the Isle of Wight affected by a burst water main.
"The initial burst caused low pressure and temporary loss of supply to a wider area for a short time – but as soon as we located the burst, work began to minimise impact and we believe it’s only homes in Staplers Road, Long Lane, some of Pan Meadows Estate and Briddlesford Road which are now without supply.
"Customers registered with us on the Priority Service Register will be given priority support and receive bottled water to their homes.
"A bottled water collection point is now in place at the top of Godric Road for those with no water.
"We ask those attending to please abide by social distancing guidelines."

1/2 We're sorry for the disruption caused by the burst main in #Stapler #IoW. We're doing all we can to keep as many homes in supply as possible by moving water around the network. This can lead to low pressure & discoloration. Please be assured it's okay to use water as normal.
