Queen's Road in Shanklin remains shut so Southern Water can carry out pipe repairs.
Traffic is slow in the area.
Diversions are in place.
A spokesperson for Southern Water said:
'We are working to repair a water main in Queen’s Road. Crews have been on site since yesterday (Tuesday) to start digging out and preparing the site for the repair to start at 10pm.
'This is to minimise the impact on local businesses supplied by that main when the water has to be shut off to carry out the final fix on the pipe.
'The road closure is to allow the pipe to be accessed and work carried out safely and we apologise for the inconvenience.'
