Speeding Crackdown Continues With Hundreds Of Isle Of Wight Motorists Caught In September

Police on the Isle of Wight have continued to crackdown on speeding motorists, with hundreds caught during September.

The Safer Roads Unit was active again throughout last month, and visited more than 20 different locations on the Island - on 51 separate occasions.

As a result, 347 motorists were caught speeding.

Isle of Wight Police said:

"The work to tackle poor driving standards on the Island continues.

"We regularly receive feedback and reports from the public about issues relating to driving standards and road safety on the Isle of Wight.

"This work is only possible because of the reports that the public make to us.

"When you report speeding or other driving offences, you may not always see an immediate police response. However, please be reassured this information is all used to help us target hotspot areas."
