Spitfire To Fly Over Isle Of Wight's St Mary's Hospital

A Spitfire will fly over St Mary's Hospital today (Saturday) as part of a special thank you to the NHS.

The fly over is expected to pass over Newport at around 3.10pm.

Known as the NHS Spitfire, it is touring the country to say thank you to NHS staff who have continued to go above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic.

The fly over is being split over two sessions:

First

11am - Duxford Airfield, takeoff

11.15am - Southend University Hospital

11.25am - Kent and Canterbury Hospital

11.30am - Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital, Margate

11.37am - Buckland Hospital, Dover

11.42am Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone

11.46am - William Harvey Ashford Hospital

11.55am - Conquest Hospital, Hastings

12pm - Bexhill Hospital

12.05pm - Eastbourne District General Hospital

12.10pm - Brighton General and Royal Sussex County Hospital

12.18pm - Worthing Hospital

12.25pm - Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital

12.30pm - Goodwood Aerodrome, land

3pm - Goodwood Aerodrome, takeoff

3.05pm - Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth

3.10pm - St Mary's Hospital, Newport, Isle of Wight
