Islanders looking to start a career in healthcare are being invited along to a recruitment open day at St Mary’s Hospital this weekend.

Today (Saturday) there will be the opportunity to find out about becoming a healthcare support worker, in the education centre between 10am and 2pm.

You don’t need any healthcare experience — just a passion for making life that little bit better for everyone you meet.

There is no need to register your interest, just turn up on the day where there will be an opportunity to be interviewed and offered a permanent position.

What do you need to bring with you:
• Your CV if you have one or details of your education and work history
• Proof of identity. You will be required to undertake an identity check and will be required to provide photographic ID and proof of address –a full list of appropriate documents can be found on the NHS Employers website With over 30 different healthcare support worker roles, from healthcare assistants, and mental health support workers to nursing assistants you will have the opportunity the chance to learn lots of new skills, and the reward of seeing your work make a difference for our patients.
