Three men arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Ryde have been bailed, while police conduct further enquiries.
Police were called to reports that entry was forced to an address in Ashey Road and threats were made towards the occupants, at around 9.45pm on Tuesday (2).
Police said that nothing was stolen and no-one was injured.
During the incident, it was reported that a weapon - believed to be a black hand gun - was seen.
Three men were arrested in Newport in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday) by armed police.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:
"Three 29-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary as part of enquiries.
"Two of the men have been bailed with conditions until April 1.
"The third man has been bailed with conditions until April 2.
"We believe this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the wider public."
