Gritters will take to the roads again in the wee hours of tomorrow morning (Tuesday) as freezing temperatures continue to impact upon Island drivers.
Several car accidents have occurred over the past week, with people being advised to drive according to the conditions.
It comes hours after the Isle of Wight Met Service recorded overnight temperatures as low as minus 7.1c.
A spokesperson for Island Roads said:
"We've (been) out gritting today and will be out again at 4am tomorrow.
"We've been out at least once a day since Jan 16, using 324 tonnes of salt in the process.
"Please take extra care when driving and remember even treated roads can be icy."
