Two Charged After Oakfield Weapons Incident

Two men have been charged following an incident in Oakfield, which allegedly involved weapons.

Hampshire Constabulary says it was called to reports at 10.57pm on Monday (3).

Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the street in Oak Vale, involving a group of men.

It was alleged that some members of the group were carrying weapons.

Following enquiries, the following two men have been charged:

  • Cameron Wayne Baker, aged 25 years, of no fixed abode, has been charged with affray, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of Class A drugs.
  • Connor Anthony Pattrick, aged 27 years, of High Street in Freshwater, has been charged with affray, possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid / gas / electrical incapacitation device, possession of an offensive weapon, being a driver failing to provide a specimen for analysis, and possession of class A drugs.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court this morning (6 May).
