Two drivers have been arrested in suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs, after two crashes on the Isle of Wight today (Thursday).
Police said B-Shift Response and Patrol, along with Roads Policing and Armed Response Units, attended two road collisions on the Island within an hour.
PC Champney said:
"Both drivers will possibly face court at a later date pending the results from the laboratory.
"Please consider if you are safe to drive before putting yourself and others at risk."
A crash involving a car and a van has closed a road in Brading, near the Yarbridge crossroads.
While Whitcombe Road in Carisbrooke was also closed for a time earlier today following a crash. One person has been taken to hospital.
