Two men have been arrested after a number of oil thefts from businesses on the Isle of Wight.
As previously reported, Island businesses were being warned on Friday (28) after two 'oil thieves' were chased from a pub.
The Chequers Inn, Rookley, said two males were caught on the premises, before escaping empty-handed.
The Yarbridge Inn, Brading and The Sun Inn, Calbourne were also reportedly targeted.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
"As part of enquires, officers have arrested a 19-year-old man and a 44-year-old man, both from Enfield, London on suspicion of theft.
"A van containing a number of oil drums was also seized by police.
"The two men have been bailed with conditions until January 28 while enquiries into the circumstances continue."
