Two teenagers remain in custody this afternoon (Tuesday) following an incident involving a 'bladed implement.'
Police were called shortly after 8:10pm last night (Monday) to Westridge Golf Centre in Ryde after a man was seen in the area holding a bladed implement and chasing another man, who was not hurt.
A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said:
"A subsequent premises search was undertaken at Fairfield Gardens in Sandown as part of our enquiries and a quantity of cannabis was seized.
"Two men, both aged 19 and from the Isle of Wight, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of offences including: possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, affray, and possession with intent to supply a Class B drug – Cannabis."
Both remain in custody at this time.
