An 'unresponsive' man has prompted an emergency service response to Totland Bay.
Teams from Freshwater Fire Station, Needles Coastguard, Isle of Wight Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to the West Wight yesterday afternoon (Monday).
According to the fire service, a man, who had fallen 'unresponsive, was in thick undergrowth, just beyond the sea wall.

Needles Coastguard Rescue Team carried out what firefighters called 'a very efficient rope rescue' on a 55 degree incline.
The casualty was transported to St Mary’s Hospital by Isle of Wight Ambulance.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Duty Officer was also in attendance in the hot conditions.
