A van driver has a court date after police discovered his vehicle had not been taxed for almost three years, had no insurance and had seen its MOT expire last September.
The van — which was stopped in Ryde — was seized and collected by Bartlett's Service Station recovery earlier today (Friday).
The driver, a 52 year old male, has been reported for a number of offences and will appear in court in due course.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said:
"Remember, as the driver it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the vehicle is insured, taxed and has up-to-date MOT."
