Police on the Isle of Wight have launched an urgent appeal as they work to try and locate a missing man from Totland.
59-year-old Ian Fisk was last seen at approximately 4.45pm yesterday (Friday 29 December) on The Avenue.
Officers say they are very concerned for Ian’s welfare and are now asking anyone who has seen him to please contact police.
Ian is described as:
- 6ft
- White
- Of slim build with broad shoulders
- Unshaven
- Light brown hair which is longer top and shorter on the side.
- Last seen wearing a thick, tan coloured padded coat with a hood, fawn coloured Levi trousers and brown boots.
It's thought he is travelling in a blue Mini Cooper with the registration HN55 KXP, which we are also keen to locate. If you see Ian or the blue Mini Cooper, please call 999 quoting reference 44230530261.
It's understood that the Island's search and rescue team, Wight SAR, is currently on standby - but its not yet known if their readiness is in relation to this ongoing incident.

Police have confirmed a body has been found following a search for a missing man from Totland this afternoon (Saturday).
