Vectis Radio Training School Nominated For National Award

Vectis Radio'S 4Ps Training School has been nominated for a prestigious Radio Academy Young Audio Award for Achievement in the Community.

This recognition highlights the work carried out by the school in empowering individuals and making a positive impact on the local community.

The Young Audio Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in the radio industry, acknowledging outstanding achievements across various categories.

The 4Ps Radio Training School has been instrumental in offering local individuals a platform to develop their skills and unleash their potential in the world of broadcasting.

The school has successfully enabled aspiring radio professionals to gain hands-on experience and training, building their confidence and honing their talents.

Through its inclusive approach, the training school has facilitated the development of communication skills, fostering a sense of belonging and connection among individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Kelvin Currie, Director of Vectis Radio, said:

Trainer and Trustee, Ian Mac, added:

“It’s another acknowledgement to what we do at the school and thank you to the Isle of Wight Council for supporting us.

"I just wish we had more funds so that we could boost more kids’ confidence and communication skills because it really does work!”

The Radio Academy will announce the Young Audio Award winners at a prestigious live streamed awards ceremony to be held on Friday July 7.
