The West Wight Solent Swim gets underway today (Sunday).
It is the biggest fundraiser for the West Wight Sports and Community Centre in Freshwater.
Last year, Isle of Wight Radio took part in the event which raised more than £10,000, as previously reported.
This year the popular fundraiser has attracted more swimmers than ever.
Since it started in 2011 it has raised more than £200,000 for the charity.
As previously reported, it was cancelled twice last year.
Swimmers will set off from Hurst Castle at 4pm and swim to Colwell Bay.
