'Mock the week' host Dara O Briain has poked fun at the Island's MP - following his interview on Jeremy Vine this morning (Friday).
The Island's MP told the BBC Radio 2 presenter that the coronavirus app, trialled on the Island, was "world-leading" but that it only worked on android phones.
Jeremy Vine responded by saying "what about the German app?"
Comedian Dara O Briain mocked the MP's response on Twitter, saying:
Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight on Jeremy Vine this morning:

We have built a world-leading App.
Jeremy Vine: But what about the German App?
MP: I don’t know about other countries.
In response, Bob Seely said:
"I am not sure I know enough about the German model but the problem is with the Google/Apple App is it is not good at measuring distance. Back in March, it wasn't on the horizon and it only works with very new phones and one of the problems we have seen on the Island - is we have around 90,000 smartphone users but about 10,000 of those or more have older phones and cannot connect to this app and won't be able to connect to the Google/Apple App because they are on older software as well."
Meanwhile, when Jeremy Vine questioned if the app worked Bob Seely said: "the app was successful in some areas not in others".
