Whippingham's the Folly Inn is reopening next week following a 'six figure' refurbishment.
The pub's interior has been transformed with new fixtures and fittings, such as an indoor/outdoor fireplace, as well as bi-fold doors along two elevations, offering diners picturesque views over the water.
New furniture has also been installed to create a comfy and cosy environment for guests.
Outside, the main garden area has been reconfigured to add additional covers, including a new pergola and feature fireplace.
Furthermore, a new outdoor kitchen and bar in the garden area will open in Spring.
Saoirse Doolan, General Manager of The Folly Inn, said:
“The renovation has completely transformed the site, with major upgrades both inside and out.
“The pub has always been popular with local islanders, tourists and sailors, so we can’t wait to welcome customers, both new and old, back through our doors to enjoy our new and improved offering.”
The jetty, which is connected to the pub, has also been restored. The renovations include the installation of new shower facilities for boat users, while the pub itself is easily accessible by boat and water taxi.
Alongside the jetty, the Folly Inn has a waterside patio running along the shoreline, which has been extended over the water as part of the investment.
The addition of a new heated pergola covering the existing patio area will ensure the space can be used all year round.
There is also an extensive menu, including grill favourites and pub classics, as well as a summer specials board available throughout summer.
The pub has been operating a recruitment drive during the closure, and will welcome some new faces to the pub upon reopening.
The Folly Inn reopens on Monday November, 7 2022.
