Nominations are now open for the golden anniversary of the Isle of Wight Sports Achievement Awards and Islanders are invited to put forward a sports person or team they think has given their all in 2024.
The awards have a new headline sponsor in WRS Systems, and top-notch presenters lined up to make it a glittering night at Medina Theatre on March 27, 2025.
There are loads of categories to nominate in, from junior boys and girls, right up to the Service to Sport and Lifetime Achievement Awards that recognise those who have given lifetimes of service to Isle of Wight sport.
This year the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, which runs the awards, has made the process even more simple, with a streamlined, easy-to-use, online entry form.
But you need to be quick as nominations close on January 6, with the trophies handed out in March.
Claire Beasley, chair of the Foundation, said:
“There are so many amazing stories and achievements in the world of Island sport and these awards are the perfect opportunity to celebrate those successes.
“We hope sports clubs will really get behind the awards and allow us to really celebrate all that is great in Island sport on our prestigious awards evening.”
