WightFibre Surprises 10,000th Customer With Brand New Samsung TV

Mr Charlton and Technician Harrison Ellis.

WightFibre’s 10,000th customer has received a new Samsung television as a surprise gift, after his recent switch to a full-fibre broadband connection with the service.

The cable network operator surprised Mr Charlton, who lives in Ryde, with a gift to mark the notable milestone in the company’s new full-fibre rollout.

Mr Charlton said:

“I was delighted to learn that I was WightFibre's 10,000th Broadband Customer, and that as a reward (they) have given me completely free of charge one of the latest Samsung Smart televisions."

John Irvine, Chief Executive of WightFibre, said:

"WightFibre is well on its way to becoming the number one broadband provider on the Island, I am humbled that more than 10,000 (local) homes and businesses are placing their trust in us.

Our new full-fibre, future-proof network is second to none on the planet and this, coupled with our very high levels of care, is giving customers what they want — fast, reliable broadband.”

WightFibre recently received the Institute of Customer Service, Service Mark with Distinction, an accolade held by only 16 other companies in the UK.

The full-fibre network is now available to 35,000 homes on the Island, and work is underway in harder to reach areas including Ventnor, Freshwater,
Totland, St Helens, Seaview, Bembridge and Brading.

Service is expected to launch in Ventnor next month.
