Wightlink passengers are facing long delays this afternoon (Friday) after a reported 'incident' on board.
The cross-Solent ferry operator said that due to a 'medical incident', its Fishbourne to Portsmouth route is delayed by around an hour.
Anyone hoping to use the service is being told to prepare for hold ups - even though Wightlink's online 'live status' says ferries are 'on time'.
Traffic is said to be heavy in the Fishbourne and Quarr area, as cars queue to enter the terminal.
Due to a medical incident on board one of our ships, some customers may be delayed by up to 60 minutes. We apologise for any changes to your travel plans and we will keep you updated throughout the day.
