Wightlink Scoops Silver At British Travel Awards

Wightlink has been awarded Silver in the British Travel Awards 2021/22 in the category Best Ferry Company to/from UK ports.

The accreditation was presented at a ceremony in London.

“We want to thank everyone who voted for us and are delighted to win this prestigious award,” said Wightlink Chief Executive Keith Greenfield.

“We are proud to support the Isle of Wight’s many businesses that rely on tourism by carrying their customers across the Solent on our modern fleet of ships.

"This includes England’s first vehicle ferry powered by hybrid energy – Victoria of Wight.”

The Gold award went to Brittany Ferries which connects the UK with ports in France and Spain from Portsmouth and Plymouth.

Danish ferry company DFDS won Bronze.

The British Travel Awards is the biggest UK awards organisation to invite votes from customers.

More than 300,000 people cast over 618,000 votes across all of the categories.
