A woman has been charged with driving offences after a vehicle collided with a police car in Sandown.
The collision, between a Mini Cooper and a patrolling police vehicle, occurred at the junction of Leed Street and Fitzroy Street at around 7.15pm last night (Thursday).
Two police officers were taken to hospital following the collision, but have since been discharged.
The police vehicle was on patrol and was not responding to an incident at the time of the collision.
The passenger of the Mini, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. These are not deemed life-threatening, according to police.
A police spokesperson said:
"The driver, 32-year-old Danielle Tuffrey of Atherley Park Way in Shanklin, has been charged with drink driving, driving without insurance, and driving without a valid test certificate.
"She was bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on February 4."
