
A woman has been charged with assault on a member of the public and animal cruelty.
Police said that a dog was taken into possession by Response Officers and South Wight Neighbourhood team last week, following a report of animal cruelty and an assault on a member of the public in Shanklin.
Posting on Facebook, Isle of Wight Police, said:
"Hannah Bourdon, 33, currently of no fixed abode has been charged with an assault on a member of the public and offences under the Animal Welfare Act relating to the dog.
"She will appear at the magistrates court in due course."
