A woman on the Isle of Wight has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after she rode an E-Scooter through the streets of Newport last night (Saturday).
Police on the Island are warning those looking to use the E-Scooters - which are available as part of a Government trial on the Island - that those using them fall under the 1988 Road Traffic Act.
The rider of the scooter has subsequently been charged and will appear in court in due course.
It's the latest incident involving the E-Scooters, which have been on the Island for several weeks, and are legal to use on most roads, with police issuing a warning in the past fortnight after riders were spotted travelling up the dual carriageway.
The scooters require a rider's driving license to be scanned by the Beryl app before they can be used.
