A woman has been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation in Whippingham this morning (Monday).
Firefighters from Newport and East Cowes were called to reports of heavy smoke in the kitchen of a property on Campfield Road at 5.43am.
Firefighters gave oxygen to one person, before clearing smoke from the home.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said the call was classed as a 'false alarm with good intent' after cooking fumes triggered the alert.
The stop call came in at 6.53am.
