A woman in her 80s has suffered a serious injury to her leg after a crash in Apse Heath.
As previously reported, police were called at 9.17am yesterday (Wednesday), to a report of a collision involving a car and a lorry on the roundabout at Newport Road and Alverstone Road.
Police have confirmed a woman in her 80s sustained a serious injury to her leg, which is not thought to be a life threatening or life changing injury at this time.
The road was closed at the junction of Princelett Shute and Newport Road, while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The road was clear shortly after 10.15am.
