A woman in her sixties has undergone surgery on her leg, following a collision with a car in Newport on Friday evening.
Police are investigating after a red Honda Jazz collided with the 69-year-old pedestrian shortly before 8pm in St James Street.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:
“She suffered leg and more minor head injuries and was taken to hospital. She has since had to undergo an operation on her leg.
