A woman sat on the edge of a cliff at Culver Down prompted a call-out for emergency services this afternoon (Tuesday).
Bembridge Coastguard was called just before 1.30pm, alongside Hampshire Constabulary officers.
A spokesperson for the police said:
"At 1.28pm today (2 November) officers were contacted by the Coastguard reporting a concern for welfare incident.
"A woman was sat on the wrong side of the fence on the edge of the cliff at Culver Down Road, Bembridge.
"A short time later the woman came over to the correct side of the fence."
