Yarbridge Inn Serves Up 6,823 Meals For Isle Of Wight NHS, Carers And Key Workers

A Brading pub has tallied up more than 6,800 meals for Isle of Wight carers, NHS staff and key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

The team at the Yarbridge Inn stepped up to the plate when the COVID-19 pandemic took hold.

Brother and sister, Rich and Becky - along with their mother - decided to take matters into their own hands to support those going above and beyond to keep the Island moving.

They've thanked everyone for the support and donations of ingredients, but are now planning to reopen as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.

Posting a message on Facebook, Rich Fox said:

"This goes down as one of the biggest loving achievements ever for the fox family.

"The amount of people who have helped with this amazing cause is unreal.

"The process to make this all work is a full time job but was made so much easier by every single person involved. 6,823 meals would not of been possible without you lot involved, even just a single share of one of the community drops on the social networks travels along way.

We have so many people and companies to thank - thank you every single one of you."
