The Met Office has issued the island with a yellow weather warning today, with winds of up to 70mph expected until 4pm this afternoon (March 31).
There will also be intermittent showers throughout the day, mainly falling around lunchtime and late afternoon.
The windy weather has so far affected Hovertravel and the Red Jets.
Wightlink services are running as normal.
