A group of young Island footballers are aiming to go around the Premier League in just 24 hours - to raise money for charity.
Jack Egerton-Read 14, Oliver Linington 14, Frankie Foster 14, Oliver Flood 14, Reuben Flood 10 and Sonny Foster 7 are planning to visit - and have a picture taken - at all 20 Premier League football grounds, in under 24 hours.
They are taking on 1,200-mile challenge in aid of Mountbatten.
With accompanying parents, they will be leaving the Island on Friday March 24, where they will head to Newcastle to start the challenge the following day.
They will be leaving St James' Park at 10am on Saturday March 25, with the aim of finishing the marathon attempt at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth the following day - by no later than 10am.
The planned route is:
Newcastle United > Leeds United > Manchester City > Manchester United > Liverpool > Everton > Wolves > Aston Villa > Nottingham Forest > Leicester City > Spurs > West Ham > Arsenal > Brentford > Fulham > Chelsea > Crystal Palace > Brighton > Southampton > Bournemouth.
One of the parents, Craig Egerton-Read, said:
"We think it is possible, with hopefully an hour or two to spare! Visiting the London clubs overnight should give us a better chance of avoiding the main traffic.
"As you can imagine, the boys are all really excited to get going, and have been involved in planning the best route. Now that all of the logistics are in place, we have been in contact with clubs, in the hope that some of the stadiums will grant us access pitch-side, which would make the trip that extra bit special.
"The challenge is being undertaken in aid of Mountbatten, who do such a brilliant job on the Island in providing quality of life to those with limited time.
"We would also like to thank Vectis Scaffolding, WH Brading and Premier Ford Rentals, for providing us with support for vehicle hire and travel costs."
